On Monday, October 14, US President Joe Biden spoke in favor of negotiations with Russia, China and North Korea to reduce the nuclear threat.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the White House website.
At the same time, he stated that such contacts should take place “without preconditions.”
“The United States is prepared to negotiate with Russia, China, and North Korea without preconditions to reduce the nuclear threat. There is no benefit to our countries or to the world from preventing progress on reducing nuclear arsenals,” he said.
The US President added that reducing the nuclear threat “is important because of the dangers of today's world, which have grown in recent years.”
“These nuclear risks undermine the norms and agreements we have worked together to establish and run counter to the vital work of today's Nobel laureates,” — said Joe Biden.
He also said that last year, during a visit to Hiroshima (Japan), he spoke with a man who survived the nuclear bombing (in August 1945). Biden added that this man showed him that “we must continue to move toward the day when we can finally and forever rid the world of nuclear weapons.”
In turn, Trump is again threatening World War III: the dates for its possible start have been named.
