Maintaining stable blood sugar levels – a key aspect for both people diagnosed with diabetes and those who seek to maintain health.

According to experts, the optimal time for dinner directly affects metabolism and sleep quality, which plays a significant role in the overall health of the body. Medical studies confirm that eating after 8 p.m. increases the risk of blood sugar spikes and can cause morning hyperglycemia.
The above is due to the slowdown of metabolic processes in the evening hours and a decrease in the body's sensitivity to insulin. Doctors recommend finishing dinner no later than 19:00. In extreme cases, you can move your meal to 20:00, but it is important to remember that the later your dinner, the smaller the portion size should be.
For complete digestion of food and to minimize the load on the stomach, it is necessary that at least three hours pass between the last meal and going to bed. This prevents the accumulation of glucose in the blood and helps maintain normal insulin levels. Undigested foods in the stomach before bed can provoke nighttime sugar surges, which is especially dangerous for diabetics.
For those who go to bed later than 23:00, experts recommend dairy drinks as an optimal snack. A cup of cow's or soy milk at 21-22 o'clock helps stabilize sugar levels and reduce hunger. These drinks contain easily digestible proteins and a minimum amount of carbohydrates, which prevents sharp fluctuations in sugar at night. Alternatively, you can eat a small portion of low-calorie fruit – for example, a few slices of apple or a handful of berries.
Meanwhile, doctors also explained how porridge slows down the aging process of the body.
