Self-proclaimed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko shared his thoughts on Crimea.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to 24tv.
In particular, he stated that from the point of view of international jurisprudence, Crimea does not belong to Russia. Since the world does not recognize this territory as Russian, this issue is “settled” unilaterally.
De facto Crimea is Russian, de jure it is not. Because legally these issues are unilaterally settled, he suddenly noted.
According to him, the biggest problem is that the international community does not recognize the peninsula as Russian territory.
When asked by a journalist whether Lukashenko would go to Crimea, he replied that he was allegedly not afraid to go there, but for now there was no need for such a trip.
It is worth noting that such statements by the self-proclaimed Belarusian leader were also surprising because in 2021 Lukashenko stated the opposite. He noted that after the so-called “referendum” of 2014, Crimea de jure became Russian.
Recall that earlier it was reported that Lukashenko again made a statement about negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
