There are several effective ways to keep your home warm during long power outages, especially in winter.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Tsn.
If your batteries do not heat up and you do not have a portable heater, modern power banks can have a heating function.
«This is a container with batteries that can be a source of heat. The power bank can be placed under a blanket for additional warmth». The cost of such devices varies from 500 UAH, – experts note. .
Homemade heater from a metal pipe
To keep your home warm, even in the absence of light, you can make a heater yourself. To do this, you will need a metal pipe with a diameter of about 12 centimeters and a length of up to 1.5 m, as well as a cooler from a 12 V motherboard. The pipe will need to be constantly heated with a gas stove, and the role of the cooler will be to distribute warm air.
“This easy-to-make device will help you stay warm even when there is no electricity, but it should be used under supervision due to the fire hazard,” experts say.
Chemical heating pad
To quickly warm up in the absence of heating, you can use a special chemical heating pad. Such a heating pad can heat up to 65 degrees. It is activated by contact with air and maintains the temperature for an average of 3 hours.
Gas burner
If your home has a gas supply, gas burners can be a reliable source of heat. They run on propane-butane and can be used indoors if there is sufficient ventilation.
It is noted that the design of the gas burner is quite simple – a ceramic element is installed inside the metal body of the burner, through which gas passes and burns, emitting infrared light. There is no open flame during operation of the burner, it is safe to use in the house.
“The heating temperature reaches 1000 degrees, so the heater should be used with caution,” experts warn.
