Under the current dynamics on front, the military command warns of the need for urgent preparation of the Dnepropetrovsk region for defense.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the Telegram channel of the deputy commander of the 3rd separate assault brigade, Maxim Zhorin.
According to Zhorin, local authorities and defense structures should build fortifications in advance, and not wait for the moment when the threat appears on the doorstep of populated areas.
Such a warning is intended to emphasize the importance of strategic planning to ensure sustainable defense.
“We should not constantly move from city to city, quickly strengthening the defense when the front is already close,” Zhorin emphasized.
He noted that fortification lines should be built systematically, based on well-thought-out and long-term decisions, and not in response to emergency situations. This will avoid a repeat of the scenarios observed in Selidovo and Pokrovsk, when the need for urgent defense led to incomplete readiness of the infrastructure.
The Dnipropetrovsk region, located at the strategic intersection of key logistics routes and in close proximity to the lines of combat operations, may be one of the next targets of the occupiers. Therefore, according to him, preparing the region for defense requires maximum coordination between the military command, local authorities and civil society.
Against this background, Ukraine and India have already decided on close cooperation in the military sphere.
