Belarusian leader and Russia's ally in the war against Ukraine, Alexander Lukashenko, once again stated that Russia allegedly does not plan to use the territory of Belarus to attack other states.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Dialog.
In particular, he called such assumptions “complete stupidity” and called for “good neighborly relations” with other countries.
«No Russia is going to attack Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine through Belarus,», – the Belarusian dictator declared.
It is noteworthy that Lukashenko said similar words in February 2022, a few days before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. At that time, Russian troops used Belarus as a springboard for an attack on northern Ukraine, seeking to break through to Kyiv.
After the failure of the Russian offensive operation, the remaining troops were forced to retreat through the same Belarus. Also, at present, the airspace of Belarus is also used for launch of Russian kamikaze drones “Shahed”, which attack Ukrainian cities and villages.
Recall that earlier it was reported that Nebenzya distinguished himself with new statements about Ukraine: “There will be no freezing of the front.”
