Accumulation atherosclerotic plaques in the vessels worsen the condition of their walls, reduce blood flow and contribute to the development of dangerous diseases such as atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Arguments.
Doctors note that these plaques are formed from cholesterol, calcium and other substances, settling on the inner walls of the arteries. As a result, the blood supply to the heart and other organs is disrupted.
Some signs may indicate blockage of blood vessels with plaques. Chest pain and shortness of breath are some of them, which arise due to insufficient blood supply to the heart muscle and lungs.
“With chest pain, discomfort may also appear in the jaw, neck, shoulders or arms,” doctors note.
A constant feeling of fatigue, dizziness and arrhythmia may also be a sign of trouble. Plaques in the vessels cause the heart muscle to receive less oxygen and nutrients, weakening it and causing a feeling of fatigue. Arrhythmia, the sensation of an irregular or rapid heartbeat at rest, is another symptom that should not be ignored. p>
