You can see handles inside the car, which are located above the head near the doors.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to Express.
Such “handrails” are usually located above the passenger door in the car. They can also be seen and from the driver's side. However, many road users think that these handles are intended to be held while the car is moving.
While they may be used for this purpose, their true purpose is to help disabled motorists get into a vehicle.
«Above each car door, you will usually find a handle. These handles are actually particularly useful. Many people need extra assistance getting in and out of their cars,— the post says.
However, such grips are not necessarily found in all cars, and there are several explanations for this.
“The steering wheel can function as a makeshift grip. Drivers may also be prone to grabbing the grip while driving, which is dangerous,” the publication added.
Experts say it is not only passengers with disabilities who can benefit from using grips.
“In larger vehicles, these grips provide important leverage for safe entry and exit, preventing awkward jumping. Conversely, in smaller vehicles, the grips provide support to make it easier to step onto the sidewalk. This feature is especially useful for people with disabilities, the elderly and pregnant women,” they explained.
