During a short telephone call conversation between Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, the parties discussed the need for diplomatic solutions to end the conflict.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the Telegram channel “Legitimate”.
“Sources say the initiative came from Zelensky, who was seeking to demonstrate to Ukraine's political elite that he retains the ability to engage in dialogue with Trump”, – said at the beginning.
Trump reiterated that diplomacy is the key to ending the war, but did not make specific promises regarding support for the “Ukrainian peace formula”.

However, the insider doubted that the conversation could be called successful. Moreover, there is an opinion that Trump will stick to its methods of ending the war, regardless of Zelensky.
