Journalist and military man analyst Dmitry Gordon expressed his opinion about the possible start of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Dialog.
According to him, if the Armed Forces of Ukraine leave from the Kursk region, this will be a signal about the beginning of a real negotiation process.
“Putin insists that Russia take part in the negotiations only after the complete liberation of the Kursk region, so I do not rule out that we will leave the Kursk region, and our organized withdrawal from the Kursk region will mean the beginning of the peace process,” he said.
Gordon also commented on the version voiced by Alexey Arestovich that Vladimir Putin could consider the option of liberating the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions in exchange for full influence over the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Such a plan involves holding referendums where residents of the occupied parts of Zaporizhia and Kherson could vote to return to Ukraine. In this case, Putin could demonstrate to the Russian population that he respects the will of the people who are ready to choose Ukraine.
According to Gordon, Arestovich is in close relations with influential representatives of the US Republican Party, which adds interest to his statements.
«We have repeatedly had polemics about who Arestovich is with: the Russians or is he thus carrying out our special tasks. I can answer this question, because I know. Arestovich works closely with the Republicans in the US and is under the protection of the US. I know this too, so if he says this, it means he has information, let's listen,' the journalist said.
Earlier, Gordon also said that Putin is preparing to end the war in Ukraine: important arguments are presented.
