American businessman and associate newly elected US President Donald Trump Elon Musk ridiculed the words of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky about Kyiv's independent position in negotiations with the Russian Federation.

The corresponding message appeared on Elon Musk's X social network. In particular, Musk on Saturday, November 16, reposted a modified quote from Zelensky from an interview with the Ukrainian president to “Ukrainian Radio”.
“The US cannot force us to “sit and listen” at the negotiating table. We are an independent country,” — the tweet says.
In his comment, Musk noted that “he (Zelensky, ed.) has an amazing sense of humor.”
The businessman also attached link to a 2021 BBC article, updated after Russia's full-scale invasion, detailing Zelensky's rise from a comedian with no political experience to a wartime leader.
Recall that earlier it was reported that Musk said that he would be in Ukraine after the war: a businessman about a special decision by the United States.
