«The closure of the embassy is due to air raid alerts, including an increase in the possible threat of a combined attack with drones and missiles, as happened recently. We continue to monitor the situation, cooperating with Ukrainian partners,— the statement says.
It is noted that US citizens are advised to do the following: monitor local media, identify shelter locations before any air raid alert, take shelter immediately if an air raid alert is declared, and follow the instructions of the Ukrainian government.
