The coming winter 2024-2025 in Ukraine, according to weather forecasters, will be warmer than usual, with rare and short periods of severe cold.

Head of the Department of Applied Meteorology and Climatology of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Institute Vera Balabukh reported that abnormally high temperatures are expected in December.
The average daily temperature in the first month of winter will be around 0°C. During the day, positive temperatures will be observed within the range of +1…+5°C, and at night light frosts down to -4°C are possible, especially in the Carpathians.
«The air temperature will remain abnormally high for this period of the year due to the greenhouse effect and the peculiarities of atmospheric circulation,» the meteorologist explained.< /p>
The weather will be mild at the beginning of December, with daytime temperatures from +3°C to +6°C. Forecasters predict the most significant warming from December 7 to 10: in the south of the country, the thermometer readings could rise to +8°C.
After December 12, a gradual cooling is expected, which will mainly affect the northern and western regions. At the end of the month, precipitation in the form of rain and snow is possible, but by the New Year their intensity will decrease, leaving mild winter weather.
It also became known that the Cabinet of Ministers changed the rules for transporting patients by ambulance: they will not be taken to the nearest hospital.
