People's Deputy from “Servants of the People”, deputy chairperson of the parliamentary committee on budget issues Lesya Zaburannaya reported that Ukraine expects a large-scale indexation of pension payments as early as March 2025.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to Lesya Zaburanuyu.
According to analysts, the recalculation will be carried out in accordance with the inflation rate of 13 to 17%.
According to Zaburanna, the minimum indexation will be 100 hryvnia, the maximum – 1500 hryvnia. In general, the indexation “will adjust pension payments.”
“People aged 70 to 80 will be entitled to an additional allowance of 300 to 570 hryvnia. As for special pensions, the parliamentary committee on social policy is currently working to align and balance these payments,” she explained.
The MP also recalled that the UN program, which provides additional support to certain groups of citizens, has been extended in Ukraine.
“This program currently covers not only pensioners, but also children and people with disabilities. Assistance is provided to those citizens who live in eight regions where active hostilities are underway or near this zone. The payment is calculated as follows: the basic payment from the state or social assistance is 3,250 hryvnia. The UN pays the difference between this amount and the amount that the citizen receives,” she noted.
That is, if a person receives a minimum pension of 2400 hryvnia, he can apply for 850 hryvnia in assistance.
It also became known who will have their foreign work experience taken into account when assigning a pension.
