In her opinion, the Republican is not capable of satisfying all the demands of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
Juliet noted that even Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's willingness to compromise will not help, since Trump is not capable of offering the head of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin sufficient concessions. Lifting sanctions or unfreezing Russian assets, Samuel notes, would require the support of the US Congress, the G7 and the European Union.
She is convinced that even if Donald Trump agreed to significant concessions, Putin's goals in war with Ukraine is much more ambitious than his like-minded people in Washington admit. The Kremlin has set itself the goal of conquering Ukraine in order to change the demographic situation in the Russian Federation.
The columnist also notes that the cheapest way to ensure long-term security in Europe is to prevent the collapse of Ukraine.
