Head of the Counteraction Center disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Kovalenko reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to hide the fact that one of the two launches of the Russian missile system “Oreshnik” failed.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to Andrey Kovalenko.
He noted that the situation with “Oreshnik” in Belarus is just another attempt by the Kremlin to intimidate the world. According to Kovalenko, this project is more reminiscent of an information campaign than a real military threat:
“For now” this is an information story. However, even the most probable placement of “Oreshnik” there does not increase the danger for Ukraine or NATO, at least because it makes no difference whether it flies from “Kapustiny Yar” or from Belarus. All the talk about less time” approach is a horror story for civilians in the West and Ukraine».
Kovalenko also noted that this will not play a role for air defense systems, since last year the Patriot shot down the Kinzhal for the first time in history:
«The main goal of the Russian Federation is to raise the stakes with fear propaganda against the West. Nuclear weapons in Belarus did not work in terms of information, «Oreshnik» is being used as a bubble in response to permission to strike the Russian Federation with Western long-range weapons. And the deployment in Belarus will be accelerated purely informationally under the «narrative» Oreshnik “to NATO borders” to change public sentiment in Europe. At the same time, Putin is trying to hide the fact that one of the two launches of “Oreshnik” was already unsuccessful.
Zhdanov also said that Putin will face another failure after Syria: the expert predicted where problems will soon begin for the Russian Federation.
