Minister of Finance Sergei Marchenko noted that the possible termination of US aid to Ukraine is a serious challenge to the defense capability of our state, but not an inevitable collapse.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to Sergei Marchenko.
Marchenko noted that Kiev should have a plan to create the necessary conditions for cooperation with the administration of newly elected US President Donald Trump.
“It is in Ukraine's natural interests to build trust for cooperation. I think this should be a priority strategy for both Ukraine and Europe,” — the official noted.
The minister also added that in order to cope with the uncertainty regarding the continuation of aid from Washington, Kyiv must use time “very wisely” and must also be able to negotiate with the Trump administration. .
“I think we have enough resources, enough weapons, enough missiles and artillery shells to resist at least until the first half of 2025. We will ensure sufficient budgetary allocations for the purchase of ammunition and necessary military equipment in 2025,” Marchenko added.
It also became known that the Russian Federation made a new decision on nuclear weapons: Putin made an official statement.
