In the administration of President Joe Biden approved a new secret memorandum on national security aimed at countering the strengthening of the alliance between China, Russia, Iran and North Korea.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to AP.
< p>The document has been in the works since the summer of 2024 and, according to administration officials, should form the basis for the actions of the next president, especially if it is Donald Trump. The secret memorandum includes four key areas:
- strengthening interagency cooperation to promptly respond to threats;
- increasing the speed of information exchange with allies to strengthen international coordination;
- applying economic sanctions with maximum effectiveness;
- preparation for simultaneous crises caused by the actions of US rivals.
Despite the closed nature of the document, experts believe that it is aimed at long-term strengthening of the US position in the international arena. It remains an open question how the next administration will use these recommendations.
At the same time, the memorandum could become an important tool for adapting the strategy to a rapidly changing geopolitical environment. Strengthening cooperation with allies and emphasizing preventive measures are the main principles, laid down in this document.
In addition, information has emerged about how long Ukraine will be able to fight without US assistance.
