In Egypt on one Among the archaeological sites, researchers discovered tombs that were decorated with pictorial inscriptions and ritual scenes.

These artifacts, together with complex burial customs, provide valuable information about the religious beliefs of the Ptolemaic period.
Among the most remarkable discoveries were 52 mummies, 13 of which had golden tongues. One mummy had two golden tongues, while another had nails decorated with a gold plate. The same site also yielded valuable items such as a terracotta of the god Harpocrates, amulets depicting Egyptian deities such as Thoth, Isis and Horus, and a “scarab heart” in its original position.
During the excavations, archaeologists reportedly also discovered a Ptolemaic-era tomb structure that contained some 300 mummies. The tomb, with three burial chambers and a vaulted ceiling, is notable for its walls decorated with texts and polychrome scenes depicting funerary rituals and divine figures such as Anubis, Osiris, Atum and Nut.
It is noted that some of these amulets combine the symbolism of several deities, which is an unusual find in the region. In addition, four limestone sarcophagi were discovered in the same context. According to scientists, the presence of a thin layer of gold on the mummy's face demonstrates the “fine nature of the funerary work.” The same golden decoration is found on the figures of the goddesses Isis and Nephthys.
