In Kovelskoe TCC in Volyn, local workers committed illegal actions, and they also blocked the work of the representative of the Ombudsman of Ukraine.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Dmitry Lubinets.
The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmitry Lubinets called this situation “a loud scandal with the TCC in Volyn.”
“I received an appeal from a complainant who complained about the actions of the employees of the Kovel City TCC. The woman reported that her husband was injured, after which he was hospitalized. He was forcibly taken straight from the medical facility to the Lutsk MTCC and SP,” he noted.
According to him, the representative of the ombudsman in the Volyn region immediately went to the regional TCC to clarify the circumstances. However, the employees of the staffing center did not comply with the representative's demands and did not provide an opportunity to talk to the detainee.
“Even after the police officers called by my representative arrived, the employees of the Volyn OTSC and Lutsk MTSC did not provide an opportunity to talk to the detained man, but reported that he had been taken to a military unit,” Lubinets added.
He noted that the actions of the employees of the Volyn OTSC and Lutsk MTSC contradict the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights” and can be classified under the relevant article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Therefore, this fact was reported to the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office and an application was filed with the State Bureau of Investigation.
“When human rights are at stake, there can be no obstacles for officials authorized to do so! There will be due responsibility for each obstruction! I will not allow human rights to be neglected in a state governed by the rule of law!” Dmitry Lubinets summed up emotionally.
At the same time, the ombudsman previously stated that “busification” is becoming a thing of the past: Lubinets spoke about changes in the work of the TCC.
