Forecasters of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported that in January 2025, the average monthly air temperature in Ukraine is forecasted to be within 0-3 degrees below zero, which is 1.5-2 degrees above normal.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the “Ukrhydrometeorological Center”.
Thus, January will be colder than December, in which the average temperature is from 4 degrees below zero to 2 degrees above zero. In particular, in Transcarpathia, Crimea, Odessa and Kherson regions, 0 to 2 degrees above zero is expected.
According to weather forecasters, the monthly precipitation is expected to be 32-79 mm, which is within the norm. Long-term observations show that in January the average monthly air temperature is 0-6 degrees below zero, in Crimea from 1 degree below zero to 4 degrees above zero.
“The absolute minimum air temperature is 23-37 degrees below zero, in the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Sumy regions and in the Carpathians in places 38-39 degrees. In the Cherkasy and Luhansk regions in places 40-41.9 degrees below zero, in the south of Crimea 13-22 degrees below zero”, — forecasters reported.
They noted that the absolute maximum air temperature is 10-18 degrees Celsius, in Crimea up to 21 degrees, in Chernihiv, Sumy regions and in the highlands of the Carpathians 8-9 degrees Celsius. The average monthly precipitation is 26-55 mm, in Transcarpathia up to 89 mm, in the Carpathians and in the south of Crimea up to 125 mm.
