Russian reconnaissance and sabotage groups are trying to attack and gain a foothold in the territory of the Kherson region, which is controlled by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that the occupiers have also stepped up shelling of the region.
“We are seeing an increase in enemy activity. The Russians have stepped up maneuvers with manpower and equipment. They have increased fire from all over, especially due to the bombing of some roads and populated areas with guided aerial bombs,” he noted.
According to him, the places where the enemy's landing groups can land are known, and the Ukrainian Defense Forces are ready to destroy the enemy. The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration emphasized that the enemy's attempts to advance are not isolated. So far, such manipulations by the Russians have been unsuccessful.
“There are facts when they advance and try to gain a foothold on the islands or on the right bank. So far, not a single attempt has been successful, they have all been destroyed,” — he stated.
At the same time, the head of the Kherson region noted that the sabotage and reconnaissance groups have corresponding tasks.
“The command sets them the task of capturing at least a part of the right-bank Kherson region and gaining a foothold there,” Alexander Prokudin summed up.
At the same time, Putin made a new statement about the war in Ukraine: the talk turned to the possible end of the “SVO”.
