A source in the Presidential Office reported on Ukraine's new strategy to strengthen its negotiating positions ahead of potential talks with the Donald Trump administration.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the Resident Telegram channel.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine organized an offensive operation in the Kursk region, despite serious losses.
«At this stage, this is necessary to demonstrate our ability to conduct active combat operations and control the situation at the front,» the source noted.
Losses in this direction are estimated as significant, but the command hopes to stabilize the situation.
General Alexander Syrsky, who is leading the operation, assured that all possible measures are being taken to minimize risks.
«Before Trump's inauguration, we intend to demonstrate our readiness for decisive action, which will strengthen our negotiating positions,» he added.
It is also reported that the Presidential Office is actively working on diplomatic preparations. In particular, the possibilities of attracting new allies and increasing the volume of military aid are being considered.
«We understand that diplomacy and military power must work in tandem,» the source emphasized.
Sociologists also calculated how many Ukrainians are ready to bear the burden of war for as long as necessary.
