Leader Katrin Ebner-Steiner, a member of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in the Bavarian state parliament, made a provocative statement about the need to return Ukrainian refugees to their homeland “now”.

Ebner-Steiner also criticized the Christian Social Union, which is in power in Bavaria, accusing it of “empty talk” regarding migration policy. According to her, only the AfD is capable of “liberating Bavaria”.and prevent the country from being flooded with aid recipients who refuse to integrate.
As part of its official “plan for the future”, the party proposes deporting criminals and migrants without a residence permit, assessing possible number of deportations of two million people.
Bundestag member and head of the Bavarian branch of the AfD Stefan Prochko supported this position, calling for the deportation of “a million” migrants, including ” 171;1.2–1.3 million Syrians» and «700 thousand Afghans».
