Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk reported that not all “limited fitness” conscripts will have time to re-pass the military medical commission (VVK) before February 4. Therefore, this deadline is planned to be extended.

“There is a problem regarding those with limited fitness. According to the law, all those with limited fitness must re-pass the VVK before February 4. Otherwise, there will be fines and other legal troubles,” she said.
Vereshchuk added that now the majority (more than one million people) have not yet undergone the appropriate medical examinations. Including because they have not received calls to the VVK, or cannot get them at the TCC (because there are queues there).
“It is obvious that it is absolutely unrealistic to let such a large number of people through the VVK before February 4. Then (not now) we will figure out how this happened and who is responsible for the unsatisfactory organization of the process,” the representative of the President's Office emphasized.
She explained what actions will be the first priority:
“Firstly, together with the deputies, we are working on introducing legislative changes to extend the period for a repeat medical examination of those with limited fitness. Secondly, we are working on regulatory changes so as not to apply fines for now. Thirdly, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health urgently ensure proper work schedules for the VVK in order to process all those of limited fitness in a timely manner, and also ensure appropriate calls for people to the VVK.”
Irina Vereshchuk believes that this will be constructive. But, she emphasized, all those of limited fitness must undergo a repeat medical examination, as required by law.
