The day before, US President Donald Trump stated that he wants to achieve a reduction in global oil prices, which, in his opinion, will help to end Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The Kremlin has already responded to the American leader's statement. The press secretary of the Russian ruler, Dmitry Peskov, said that Russian aggression in Ukraine does not depend on world oil prices.
“No, this conflict does not depend on oil prices. This conflict is happening because of the threat to the national security of the Russian Federation, because of the threat to the Russians who live in known territories, and because of the unwillingness and complete refusal of Americans and Europeans to listen to Russia's concerns, and this is not related to oil prices,” — the report says.
