At the same time, the representative of the “Ukrhydrometeorological Center” Natalia Ptukha reported that according to the forecasts of world and Ukrainian centers, the winter season is still expected to fluctuate temperatures from plus to slightly minus. However, frosts up to -30 are not expected.
“However, we are a seasonal country and the penetration of arctic cold to us is possible. Although in recent years it has become less frequent, and if it does happen, it is quite short-lived,” — noted the representative of the “Ukrhydrometeorological Center”.
She also added that last year February was rich in temperature records. This year the situation may repeat itself.
“Considering the trends of climate change and in general such processes of a not entirely winter nature, February may bring its own surprises for us,” — ; noted Natalia Ptukha.
