The situation near Chasovy Yar remains tense, as the Russian army is actively amassing forces in the northern part of the city and trying to storm the southern part. According to Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Zaporozhets, a representative of the operational-tactical group “Lugansk”, Russian troops carried out 129 shellings, which confirms their increased activity in this region.

One of the key changes was the concentration of Russian forces in the Severny area. Zaporozhets noted that at the moment, movement along the pipes of the Seversky Donetsk-Donbass canal, which previously played an important role in the enemy's actions, has lost its relevance. The Russians have tried to carry out an assault several times using the concrete pipes of the canal, but now they have concentrated on other directions.
In order to distract the Ukrainian army, Russian forces made three passes through the Seversky Donetsk channel, which required the Ukrainian Armed Forces to deploy additional resources to control these areas. The use of drones and remote mining became an important part of the tactics to prevent the enemy from advancing.
Last month, the Russians actively used armored vehicles, throwing paratroopers into battle in the southern part of the city, near the Avangard stadium. However, despite the activity, the Russian army suffered losses, and at least 10 armored vehicles were destroyed by Ukrainian troops. Following this, the number of armored vehicles in combat operations significantly decreased, and ATVs and buggies came to replace them, which began to be used for maneuvers and reconnaissance.
As in other regions, the tactics of the Russian army in the Chasovoyarsk direction continues to evolve, taking into account both losses and successful operations. The situation in this zone remains key for both sides, and efforts to control it will only increase.
