Last night, Russia struck Ukraine's gas infrastructure, which once again put the country's energy system at risk. According to Energy Minister German Galushchenko, the situation requires immediate action to minimize possible consequences.

This was reported by URA-Inform, citing Galushchenko's Facebook page.

The operator of the electricity transmission system promptly introduced emergency restrictions to maintain the stability of the energy system. The state-owned company Ukrenergo clarified that due to massive ballistic attacks, emergency power outages had to be applied.

According to German Galushchenko, these measures are temporary.

«The restrictions will be lifted immediately after the situation in the power grid stabilizes,» he said.

Despite the difficult conditions, power engineers continue to work around the clock to minimize inconvenience to citizens and prevent more serious outages.

Experts note that energy infrastructure remains a key target for attacks, especially in winter. This creates additional challenges for providing heat and light to Ukrainians’ homes.
