US President Donald Trump has ordered a freeze on all military aid to Ukraine, including weapons supplies in transit.

Bloomberg reports this, URA-Inform reports.

Trump's decision will affect the delivery of critical munitions, multiple launch rocket systems, anti-tank weapons and other equipment. According to sources, the pause will last until Washington receives confirmation from Kyiv that the Ukrainian authorities “are genuinely committed to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.”

Officials said all U.S. weapons that have not yet arrived in Ukraine will be temporarily held. That includes equipment already being transported by air or sea or awaiting shipment in transit zones such as Poland. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the halt.

Earlier, on February 28, during a meeting in the Oval Office, Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky had a sharp exchange of opinions. The American leader reproached the Ukrainian president for “gambling with World War III.”

This decision is expected to cause a sharp reaction in the international community, since arms supplies are a key element of the US support for Ukraine. Most experts agree that without the US, it will be much more difficult to contain Russia. However, a new crisis will not manifest itself in the coming weeks. In addition, Europe is ready to increase aid, which will partially cover the problem.

We also reported that the US stopped the program to restore Ukraine's energy sector, – media.
