Why Russia changed its shelling tactics and should we expect a large-scale strike in the near future

Russia continues to prepare for new massive missile strikes on Ukrainian territory. However, a change in tactics can be seen recently. The aggressor is launching more targeted strikes, concentrating attacks on specific objects and regions rather than dispersing efforts across the country.

This was reported by URA-Inform, citing RBC-Ukraine.

Military expert Alexander Musienko noted that the occupiers are increasingly choosing one or several areas for attacks, focusing on specific strategic targets.

“Previously, 2-3 missiles could be launched at individual targets, but now 7-8 are flying at one point,” he explained.

Russia's main targets remain critical infrastructure facilities, including the gas production sector and Ukraine's energy system.

Attacks by Shahed drones continue almost daily. Russia is also increasing its stockpiles of missiles in preparation for the next major attack. In late February, the aggressor used strategic aircraft, firing only 7 missiles, of which 6 were shot down. However, experts do not rule out that the attacks may intensify in the near future.

The delay in US military aid to Ukraine is also a concern. According to Musienko, the situation with the supply of air defense systems remains uncertain, but in the long term the US may resume support. This creates instability not only for Ukraine, but also for Russian plans.

According to monitoring channels, Russian aviation is ready for a new massive missile strike. The enemy continues concentrated attacks on the Odessa region, where four strikes on the region's energy system have been recorded over the past two weeks.
