The National Bank of Ukraine updated the official exchange rate on March 6, 2025. According to the latest data, the US dollar lost 21 kopecks, while the euro and the Polish zloty rose.

This was reported by URA-Inform, citing the NBU website.

Updated NBU rate:

1. US dollar – 41.36 UAH (-21 kopecks)

2. Euro – 44.24 UAH (+37 kopecks)

3. Polish zloty – 10.67 UAH (+12 kopecks)

Experts note that after a long strengthening of the hryvnia, a reverse trend has emerged in February. In particular, the growth of the dollar exchange rate began on March 1, when a sharp jump occurred on the cash market after unsuccessful negotiations between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States – Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump.

Financial analysts believe that the hryvnia exchange rate would have continued to grow if not for unexpected political factors.

“The impact of a sudden event like Trump’s statement could trigger short-term market volatility, even if the economy had previously been stable,” the experts explain.

In the coming days, the currency market is expected to remain under the influence of international political news, as well as domestic economic decisions made by the National Bank of Ukraine.
