British heavyweight Daniel Dubois' trainer Don Charles shared his thoughts on a possible rematch between his protégé and Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk. In an interview, he noted that Dubois had changed significantly since their first fight.

This was reported by URA-Inform, with reference to Seconds Out.

According to Charles, the outcome of the first fight depended largely on the preparation time.

“Back then, I spent only 14 weeks as a trainer with my new fighter. Now we've been together for 18 months. If this fight is organized, it will be two years that we've been working together,” he said.

The trainer believes that Dubois showed a decent performance in the first fight and had a good chance of winning.

“The fight consisted of two halves – we won the first, and Usyk won the second. As a result, he became the winner,” Charles emphasized.

Let us recall that in August 2023, Usyk defeated Dubois by technical knockout in the ninth round. However, the Briton's team is confident that their fighter has done a lot of work since the defeat and will be able to show a completely different level in the event of a rematch. Charles did not reveal all the details of the preparation, but promised that viewers will see significant changes in Dubois' style and tactics.
