On March 10, 2025, the social network X (formerly known as Twitter), which is owned by billionaire Elon Musk, experienced a glitch. Many users, including those in Ukraine, reported problems with updating the feed, publishing, and other functions. Although the site and the app remained accessible, many complained about various technical problems.

The biggest problems were with the website, which did not update properly. According to Downdetector, the outage peaked at 12:00 p.m., when more than 49% of users experienced difficulties using the web version of the platform. There were also problems with the mobile app, which could not update the feed correctly or allow users to publish posts.
Problems with social network functions
Users also reported that features such as scrolling through the feed (doomscrolling), listening to music, and posting new messages were unavailable. These glitches were particularly noticeable among Ukrainian users, as evidenced by comments on forums and social networks.

According to the latest data, problems with the social network affected 49% of web version users, 33% of mobile app users, and 18% of server connections. However, as reported by Downdetector, as of 1:25 p.m., the number of complaints had significantly decreased and the failure had been partially fixed.
No official comments
At the time of writing, there were no messages from the X social network itself or Elon Musk about the reasons for the failure. Users continue to wait for official explanations and information about what caused the technical failure.
The incident is a reminder of the importance of the reliability of digital platforms and technical support, especially large and popular ones like social network X.
