TwitterLinkedIn

Mold in a bathhouse is not only unpleasant, but also dangerous to health. Humid environment, high temperature and insufficient ventilation – all these factors contribute to the appearance of fungus. If you notice mold in your bathhouse, do not put off solving the problem for later, because mold can quickly spread and cause harmful effects on health.

URA-Inform reports this.

The first step to combating mold is a thorough cleaning. First, you need to inspect all surfaces where there may be fungus – walls, floors, ceilings, especially in corners and around pipes. To remove mold, you can use special products sold in hardware stores, or prepare a solution of vinegar and water in a 1:1 ratio.

Once you have removed visible mold, you need to take care of prevention. To avoid the reappearance of fungus, improve ventilation in the sauna. Open windows or install additional vents so that moist air can escape faster. It is also useful to install a dehumidifier to maintain the necessary humidity.

Don't forget about the overall care of the sauna. Regularly clean the walls and floor from dirt and moisture, and thoroughly ventilate the room after each visit to the sauna. Using antiseptics and wood preservatives will also help extend the life of the materials and prevent mold.
