People's Deputy Nadezhda Savchenko, accused of preparing terrorist attacks and overthrowing state power, challenged the panel of the Court of Appeal.
She said this after the court refused to satisfy her previous request to remove one of the prosecutors from the trial.
“Discussion to the court!” Savchenko shouted.

She stated that she was recusing the case not because the court did not grant her request.
“The prosecutor violated the presumption of innocence. How can you trust such a court that does not see the facts, the prosecutor violated prosecutorial ethics? I do not trust such a court that makes the decision needed by the prosecutor’s office,” the people’s deputy said.
“If there are honest, free courts in Ukraine that are not under the control of Poroshenko and Lutsenko, I would like to see them. If not, then let the Lord’s court judge me, but not such a court. This is my basis for you – a challenge! The prosecutor accused me of a terrorist act – fulfilled action – and in murder. Where is the proven fact of murders? Who did I kill? I don’t have confidence in you, because you don’t listen! “, she added.
However, the panel of judges did not satisfy Savchenko’s petition and continued to consider the appeal.
“Refuse to satisfy Savchenko’s application,” said presiding judge Igor Palenik.
After a petition from lawyers, Savchenko was released from the glass cage. She sits next to the defenders.
As you know, on March 22, the Verkhovna Rada supported the proposal of the Prosecutor General’s Office to lift the immunity of MP Nadezhda Savchenko.
According to the GPU, Savchenko and Vladimir Ruban, who was detained while trying to import weapons, planned to shoot the parliament and the center of Kyiv, and the Russian military was involved in their receipt of weapons in the occupied territory.
On March 20, Savchenko stated that people from the president’s entourage had the task of liquidating her – and therefore they were preparing a provocation and inciting her to organize a “coup.”
The people's deputy claims that she was talking about organizing terrorist attacks in order to mislead the authorities – and ridicule them.
On March 23, the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv chose a preventive measure for Nadezhda Savchenko in the form of detention until May 20 without the opportunity to pay bail. The people's deputy in the pre-trial detention center went on a hunger strike.
Savchenko's defenders filed an appeal against this decision.
