Details : The review notes that Russian troops continued to attempt to regain previously lost positions in the western Zaporozhye region on December 29, but there were no confirmed changes to the front line in the area.
A Russian blogger claimed that Russian troops had advanced two kilometers east of Novoprokopovka (south of Robotino), although ISW has no visual evidence of this advance.
Ukrainian military observer Konstantin Mashovets noted that units of the Russian 7th and 76th Airborne Divisions managed to regain lost positions in the area over the past two to three days and drove Ukrainian troops out of some positions north and west of Verbovoy (to east of Robotino).
Russian and Ukrainian sources report that positional battles continue along the Kopani-Robotino-Novoprokopovka-Verbovo line, especially around Robotino and between Novoprokopovka and Verbovo.
