![More than 90% of those who returned from Russian captivity were subjected to torture /></p>
<p>The health status of quite a few who returned from Russian captivity is poor. Most of them need rehabilitation, they have chronic diseases that need medical assistance.</p>
<p>The head of the press service of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, Petr Yatsenko, spoke about this on Radio NV.</p>
<p>He noted that most of them have damaged digestive systems, musculoskeletal musculoskeletal system. Many have problems with their legs, since prisoners are forced to spend a lot of time standing. There are also problems with teeth due to lack of dental care.</p>
<p>“And, of course, more than 90% of those who returned claim that they were subjected to torture. And we know that this is state policy. There is a developed program in Ukraine, there is experience, there are doctors, there are psychologists, in particular, who professionally deal with those who returned [from captivity – ed.], there are established methods,” said Yatsenko.</p>

<p>The head of the press service of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War noted that the initial rehabilitation stage will last at least two weeks after returning from captivity. </p>
<p>It includes medical care, conversations with psychologists, and then they will work on reintegration into society.</p>

<li>230 Ukrainian soldiers and civilians were returned from Russian captivity. Some of the defenders defended Mariupol and Azovstal.</li>
<li>Another exchange of prisoners of war between Ukraine and Russia may take place in the coming weeks.</li>
