“The threat to our energy system remains,” Skibitsky on Russian attacks

The Russian Federation monitors Ukrainian objects from space in order to strike if necessary.

"The threat to our energy system remains", – Skibitsky about Russian attacks

The Russian Federation is now trying to destroy Ukrainian infrastructure facilities.

” These are, first of all, objects of our military-industrial complex, headquarters, control systems and individual units , which are located on the front line,” said the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Vadim Skibitsky in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

Also, as he noted, it does not achieve the goals that the Russian Federation sets for itself, because the weapons that Russia uses, in particular “Daggers,” are very inaccurate. Therefore, for the most part, it is the civilian population that suffers from such attacks.

Skibitsky emphasized that the fact that Russia does not attack the energy sector does not mean that it does not monitor the state of the energy sector.

“The enemy continues to regularly carry out space photography of our energy facilities so that, if possible and if they need it, they can carry out such attacks. Therefore, the threat to our energy system remains,” Skibitsky clarified.

Military intelligence knows that that the Russian Federation analyzed attacks on the Ukrainian energy system in 2022-2023 and identified the most critical objects that could be hit by missile weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles.

  • Estonian intelligence believes that the bombing of various Ukrainian military facilities, including airfields, by the Russian army in recent weeks, indicates that Russia considers the entry of F-16 fighters into Ukrainian arsenal dangerous. < /li>
  • The Russian army is preparing airborne brigades for landing in the Ukrainian rear. We are probably talking about helicopter landings for the rapid deployment of personnel, as was the case during the initial battles for Gostomel airport near Kiev on February 24, 2022. This is reported by analysts from the Institute for the Study of War.
