SBU: 9 traitors from the Lugansk region and Crimea who stormed the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Bakhmut and Lysichansk received suspicions

Among them there are militants who were captured by Ukrainians for the second time.

<p>The Security Service of Ukraine has collected evidence on nine more traitors who voluntarily joined the Russian occupation groups and fought against the Defense Forces on the eastern front.</p>
<p>As stated on the SBU website, the attackers took part in the so-called “m” clear assaults positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Bakhmut and Lisichansk.</p>
<p>At the end of 2023, Ukrainian defenders captured them during fierce battles near the villages of Klishchievka and Spornoe.</p>
<p>Among those detained were members of mortar crews and radiotelephonists. There are also militants who were captured for the second time by the defenders of our state.</p>
<p>The investigation established that eight militants were residents of temporarily occupied settlements in the Luhansk region, the ninth was from Crimea.</p>
<p Most of them fought against the ATO forces long before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. As the investigation found, one of the detainees captured Debaltseve in 2015.</p>
<p>At the end of February 2022, militants from the temporarily occupied areas of the Lugansk region joined the ranks of the 123rd separate motorized rifle brigade of the 2nd Army Corps. Another detainee in September 2023 entered into a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense in temporarily captured Simferopol.</p>
<p>The prisoners were suspected under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: ch. 1, 2 tbsp. 111 (high treason);</li>
<li>ch. 1 tbsp. 258-3 (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization);</li>
<li>ch. 2 tbsp. 260 (participation in the activities of paramilitary or armed formations not provided for by law).</li>
</ul>
<p>The perpetrators face life imprisonment.</p>
