As stated in a statement from the Office of the Prosecutor General, the founder of the investment company, his brother and other participants in the criminal organization, using corrupt connections in government agencies, illegally took possession of the lands of the water fund on which the hydraulic structures of the Kiev hydroelectric power station are located.

According to the data, during 2020-2021, members of the criminal organization were looking for people who received plots supposedly for gardening. Most of them were students of educational institutions in the capital, who were misled and agreed to the offer due to their difficult financial situation. They were looked for through social networks and offered to sign papers for a fee.
Subsequently, these lands were sold to members of a criminal organization. They, in turn, re-registered them as representatives of luxury real estate developers, who financed the scheme. Certain officials of the State Geocadastre bodies also took part in the transaction.

In November 2023, eight members of this criminal organization were informed of the suspicion of illegal seizure of the lands of the Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Station. Six of them are in custody.
