The Estonian Ministry of Defense called on the European Union to make its contribution to the post supply of one million shells for Ukraine.
Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur stated this, RBC-Ukraine reported on ERR.
“It is clear that this is a very complex process. We will continue to pursue our line. Brussels with this power, so that the countries can earn their contribution,” he said.
According to the minister’s words, approximately a third of the target of shells for Ukraine has already been reached, a third – already taken on the goiter and a third – those that still need to go through.
“Now it is necessary to reach the target on the political level: if we take ammunition from our reserves, and if we do not find enough shells in our country, then we will have to m see costs in order to purchase the necessary shells that will be sent to Ukraine,” he said.
Shells for Ukraine
Last year, the EU Minister of Defense and Foreign Affairs came up with a plan for extensive purchases l ammunition for Ukraine. It is transferring 1 million shells to the ZSU over the next 12 months.
