Combat work of rocket artilleryIn the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 20 attacks by the invaders in the Avdeevka area and another 9 attacks near Pervomaisky and Nevelsky, Donetsk region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defenses of our troops.

In total, 78 military clashes took place during the day. The enemy launched 5 missile and 63 air strikes, carried out 39 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
The situation at the front as of 18.00 on January 20 is as follows:
- at Volynsk and Polesskiedirections, the operational situation without significant changes;
- on Seversky and Slobozhansky the enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Leonovka, Chernihiv region, Popovka, Sumy region, and Ustinovka, Kharkov region. About 40 settlements were shelled by artillery and mortars, including Bleshnya, Mikhalchina Sloboda, Chernihiv region; Znob-Novgorodskoye, Druzhba, Atinskoye, Vladimirovka, Turya, Ryasnoye, Popovka, Sumy region; Udy, Volchansk, Malaya Volcha, Kharkov region;
- on Kupyanskyour defenders repelled 4 attacks near Sinkovka, Kharkov region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defenses of our troops. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Sinkovka, Tabaevka, Ivanovka, Berestovo in the Kharkov region;
- on Limanskydirection, repelled 6 attacks near Ternov and Yampolevka, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of Novoyehorivka, Serebryansky forestry in the Lugansk region and Ternov in the Donetsk region. He fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Belogorivka in the Lugansk region and Yampolevka, Verkhnekamennoye, Spornoe in the Donetsk region;
- on Bakhmutskyrepelled 4 attacks in the Bogdanovka and Kleshchievka areas of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to improve the tactical situation. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Grigorovka, Bogdanovka, Klishchievka, Andreevka, New York, Donetsk region; the enemy carried out air strikes in populated areas. Ocheretino, Novobakhmutovka, Berdich, Orlovka, Avdeevka, Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling, including Novobakhmutovka, Berdichi, Stepnoe, Avdeevka, Severnoye, Nevelskoye in the Donetsk region;
- on MaryinskyDefense forces continue to hold the enemy in the Georgievka, Pobeda and Novomikhailovka areas of the Donetsk region. Here the invaders, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried 14 times to improve the tactical situation. Thus, in the direction of Solodke-Konstantinovka, our defenders repelled an enemy assault, during which the enemy used 12 units of armored vehicles. As a result of the battle, 2 enemy tanks, 6 MT-LB and 1 infantry fighting vehicle were destroyed. Having received a worthy rebuff, the invaders suffered significant losses and retreated. Krasnogorovka, Kurakhovo, Georgievka, Pobeda, Novomikhailovka, Ekaterinivka were under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers;
- at Shakhterskoe the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. Conducted air strikes in the Staromayorsky and Rivne areas of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were shelled by artillery and mortars, including Vodyanoye, Ugledar, Prechistovka, Zolotaya Niva in the Donetsk region;
- in Zaporozhyethe enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. Conducted an air strike in the Robotiny area of the Zaporozhye region. More than 15 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling, including Poltavka, Krasnoye, Volshebnoe, Malaya Tokmachka, Robotino, Kamenskoye in the Zaporozhye region;
- in the area of responsibility of the OVSU “Odessa” on Khersonartillery directions Kherson, Veseloye, Kazatskoye, Ivanovka, Dneprovskoye, Stanislav of the Kherson region were subjected to enemy shelling. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Kachkarovka and Krasny Mayak, Kherson region.
The occupiers do not abandon their intention to dislodge Ukrainian units from their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper. Thus, during the day, the enemy made 13 unsuccessful attempts to storm the positions of our troops.
During the day, aviation of the Defense Forces attacked 11 areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated and 2 enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. Units of the missile forces hit the area where weapons and military equipment were concentrated, ammunition, 5 artillery pieces and an enemy radar station.
