Oleksandr Sirskiy is the new chief commander
Oleksandr Sirsky was born on June 26, 1965 in the village of Novinki, Oleksandrivsky district, Volodymyr region (RRFSR), and graduated from the Moscow Higher Secondary Command School in 1986. Having started his service as a commander of a motorized rifle platoon in Lubny (Poltava region), from 1993 he commanded a motorized rifle battalion of the 6th division of the National Guard near Chuguiv (Kharkiv region), then became the commander of a regiment of the division.
In 1996, he graduated from the Academy of Military Forces of Ukraine, and in 2005, from the National Defense Academy of Ukraine, completing a dissertation and becoming a candidate of military sciences. In the 2000s, he commanded the 72nd mechanized brigade near the Bilyi Tserkov (Kiev region). In 2007-2011, he served as chief of staff – the first intercessor of the commander of the Joint Operational Command of the ZSU. The rank of Major General was removed from his birth in 2009.
In 2011-2013, he shut down the intercessor of the head of the ZSU Head Command Center, advocating for cooperation with NATO and the reform of the Ukrainian army according to the standards of the Alliance. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion in 2014, Sirsky has secured the ATO headquarters in Donbass. At this planting, he took an active part in the Debaltsevo operation. In 2016, he became the commander of the Joint Operational Headquarters of the ZSU, and then became the commander of the ATO; in the spring of 2019, he again became the commander of the Joint Operations Headquarters, and then became the commander of the Ground Forces of the ZSU. From the first days of large-scale aggression in 2022, the Syrian army was responsible for the defense of Kiev. Volodymyr Gorbatyuk is from the Vinnytsia region. In 2014, the rank of major was the rotation commander of the Ukrainian contingent in Kosovo. In 2019, he was promoted to the rank of colonel, after which he transferred the brigade to another commander and returned to the Defense University. Until now 2024, Mikhailo Drapatiy has become a fan of the operational grouping of the army “Kherson”.
Oleksandr Pavlyuk – Commander of the Land Forces
Olexandr Pavlyuk was born on the 20th sickle, 1970 near Novograd-Volinsky (formerly Zvyagel, Zhytomyr region). In 1991, the family graduated from the Kharkiv Guards Higher Tank Command School, and in 2004, from the National Defense Academy of Ukraine.

Until 2010, he served as chief of staff of the 30th brigade, then for five years he was the commander of the 24th mechanized brigade near Yavorov (Lviv region). Having taken part in the fight against Russian aggression in 2014, its brigade liberated Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Siversk and Lisichansk, and also unblocked the Lugansk airport.
From 2015 to 2020, he served in the operational command “Zakhid” of the Ground Forces ZSU, initially as chief of staff, and then as commander. In 2018, the rank of lieutenant general was removed. In 2020-2021, the Command of the Ground Forces was given credit for preparation. In 2021, he became the commander of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO). From the beginning of 2022, he became the head of the Kiev Regional Military Administration, after which he became the chief of staff of the Ground Forces and the intercessor of the commander, immediately responsible for the unification of the forces and defense of Kiev. In 2023, he became the intercessor of the Minister of Defense.
By decree of 11 in 2024, Pavlyuk was appointed commander of the Ground Forces. The top commander and the lowest head of the ZSU, Oleksandr Sirsky, called his candidacy uncontested.
“If the president asked me, who commanded the Ground Forces, there were no other candidates,” Sirsky said.
Pavlyuk himself stated that he would inform the entire range of commands.
“I am eagerly awaiting the development of the Ground Forces. Igor Plakhuta – commander of the Territorial Defense Forces
The public biography of Igor Plakhuta dates back to the mid-2000s, when he served as commander of the Okremo Presidential Brigade.
