More than 600 burials are known.
In Russian-occupied Crimea there are at least several mass graves of military personnel killed during a full-scale war. Coffins come to Crimea without publicity; as a rule, the death of military personnel becomes known after the burial. It is impossible to calculate the exact Crimean losses in the war. This is not the final figure – other burials became known in February.
“Most of these graves are in Sevastopol,” the material says.
Among those identified by journalists are people who voluntarily went to Russian military registration and enlistment offices.
The use of people in occupied territory in the armed forces is prohibited by the Geneva Convention.
