Ukrainian UAV issues of digitalization Ekaterina Chernorenko reported that the department aims to involve at least 20 more states in the drone coalition.
As reported by Ukrinform, as of today, eight countries have joined the initiative, which was announced after the last meeting of the contact group in the Reimstein format.
The coalition’s work is focused on three directions: purchase of Ukrainian-made UAVs with funds sent to Ukraine by partners, supplies of ready-made drones from countries included in the initiative, as well as a joint search for technological solutions for the effective operation of these systems.
- About the coalition of drones Latvia and Ukraine reached an agreement back in January.
- Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced the start of the coalition on February 17. Latvia and Great Britain became co-leaders of the initiative.
- The Netherlands later announced their accession to these two states.
