As Spiegel reports, a conversation between allegedly air force commander Ingo Gerhartz and another general and several officers was posted online by the Russians. The topic of communication was the transfer of long-range missiles to Ukraine and attacks on the “bridge in the east.”
According to preliminary data, the recording is authentic, and its generation by artificial intelligence in German intelligence is practically ruled out. Intelligence found out that the generals neglected security measures: they spoke over an unsecured channel, and one of them was in Singapore at the time and used his personal mobile phone.
Now the intelligence services are checking whether other data got to the Russians related to the field of defense.
