The Ministry of Education received dollars1 in the field of education in emergency situations Education Cannot Wait, part of UNICEF.
According to Ukrinform, the corresponding agreement at the UN headquarters in New York was signed by the head of the department, Oksen Lesnoy, and the director of the fund, Yasmin Sherif.
According to the official , in Ukraine there is an understanding that “education is the second front line.” Every seventh Ukrainian school suffered from the war unleashed by the Russians, more than 200 institutions were completely destroyed.
600 thousand Ukrainian schoolchildren are forced to study remotely, another 900 thousand – in a mixed mode. Grant funds will be used to ensure that every child has the opportunity to receive an education. UNICEF will also join the Device Coalition, pledging to provide students and teachers with the smart technology needed for online lessons.
