This was reported by the press service of the Boris Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory.
The minimum air temperature in the capital turned out to be the warmest for that day. It did not fall below 12.1°C, therefore, the previous record value of 1951 was exceeded by 2.4°C.
In addition, the maximum air temperature reached 26.9°C. This is 3.8°C higher than the previous record high recorded in 2017.

The average daily air temperature was 16.4°C and was the highest in history observation time for that day. It exceeded the previous record high of 1990 and 2017 by 2.4°C, and the climate norm by 9.9°C.
The maximum wind speed in Kyiv on April 2 reached a record 19 m/s (68 km /year). Thus, it exceeded by 1 m/s the previous maximum value for this day, recorded in 2018.
