Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets appealed to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross regarding the execution of prisoners of war near Krynoki, Kherson region.
According to Lubinets, he wants the mentioned organizations to document this fact. “This should become the evidence base for a tribunal over the criminals,” the ombudsman emphasized.
“The international community must give Russia a clear signal – traces of war crimes cannot be hidden. War crimes have no statute of limitations. And in the dock it will be those who committed them and those who gave criminal orders,” Lubinets emphasized.
He noted that it is not yet known exactly when and where the crime was committed.
